Hello friends! During All Shades 1.0, I used to do this thing called Sunday Brunch! It was inspired by the Sunday brunches I used to have when I lived in NYC. That was the time to debrief about the night before, catch up with old friends and family. It was the time to talk and chill!
Even though I live in VA now, so far from all my friends (so sad), I wanted to bring back my weekly debrief! So I created the All Shades Sunday Brunch! and every Sunday, y'all are invited :)
I’ll give y’all a little debrief of my week in the form of Rose, Bud, Thorn. But I am switching it up with my favorite brunch foods. So Mimosa, Belgium Waffle, Turkey Bacon.
Rose ( Mimosa cause I love a good mimosa ) : Something that went well this week!
Bud ( Belgium Waffle cause this is the HIGHLIGHT of brunch ) : Something that I am looking forward to!
Thorn ( Turkey Bacon cause this is hit or miss, depends on the restaurant ) : Something that didn’t go so well this week!
I’ll also sprinkle in what books I am currently reading and my thoughts, as well as, what I plan on reading for the up coming week.
Without further ado (is that how you spell that??) Welcome to the first All Shades 2.0 Sunday Brunch!
✨Mimosa✨
So many fun things happened this past week! I went to North Carolina with my mom to my little brother and his girlfriend's baby shower. I'm gonna be a girl aunt and I'm SOOOO excited. They got so many things omg. That baby is gonna be SPOILT.

Another fun thing that happened this week was that I finally posted my scotland vlog! This is the last of my traveling videos from my month of travel. Make sure you check those vlogs out!
Canada
Amsterdam
Edinburgh
Last good thing from last week: I GOT MY FIRST UNEMPLOYMENT CHECK!! Woohoooooooo 🎉
It's not a lot but it was enough to pay my late credit card bills and buy some groceries so I am grateful AF.
✨Belgium Waffle✨
Next week (this is so type A of me), I am so damn excited to get back into a routine. omg. I have felt so flustered and out of whack with all this traveling, as much as i loved it. I have so many youtube videos filmed just sitting on my computer. I need to edit them and get them out to the world, but i've just had NO time. But next week is the first week I have no where to go and no one to see so catch me not leaving the house and just grinding!
But actually that's a bit of a lie cause the other thing I am looking forward to next week is working at the coffee shop and book store near me. Not working like an employee but working as in bringing my laptop in there and getting in the zone. I've been going the last few weeks just to get some immediate stuff done and my productivity goes through the ROOFFF when I'm out of the house.

✨Turkey Bacon✨
Not so great thing from last week: I had to take my braids out 😭. I'm being dramatic, it was about time and my scalp was begging for it. I rolled my ankle taking my dogs out the day before so I had no choice but to sit and do nothing, and I'm on my productivity kick so I spent the next 3 days on the couch taking them out. It took me so long because they were SO GOOD. My girl, Binta, made them tight and uniform and SMALL so it was a trek. Let's just take a moment for the braids 🙂↕️

📚Currently Reading📚
I am still reading the Match Maker by Aisha Saeed. It's been about 2 weeks now BUT! It's not the books fault, I've had so much to do with Readin' Magazine. I havent had time to really read. So far, I am really enjoying the book. My only qualm is that I'm about 40% into the book and its supposed to be a Mystery Romance but I have yet to meet the love interest (or at least I hope I haven't cause the prospects are boo boo). We shall see how it progresses tho!
I am reading with my ears, Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by VE Schwab and that audio performance is DIVINE!! There are 3 POVs and 3 different narrators and I am so immersed in the story every time I have a chance to listen. I LOVE IT.
📚Up Next📚
I have 2 books I need to read for brand deals:
SOUL OF SHADOW by Emma Noyes: a thrilling new romantasy for fans of The Vampire Diaries and Heartless Hunter
Of Flame and Fury by Mikayla Bridge: heart-pounding pages full of fiery romance, jaw-dropping confessions, political scheming, and volatile magic culminate in a final battle that none may survive.
The Flame and fury video is due July 10th and I haven't started reading yet 😬 so Ima end this here and get on that LOL!
Thanks for joining me for brunch! See y’all next week!
